Busabase

Omarchy Plugin

Put Busabase in the Omarchy bar to see what you and your agents kept today, open each change with its history, and link the Busabase skill into your agents.

Omarchy plugins live in its top bar. The Busabase plugin adds the Busabase mark there: it counts what you and your agents kept in Busabase today, flashes +1 as each change lands, and opens a panel that lists the changes in plain words. The plugin is open source (MIT) at github.com/busabase/omarchy-busabase.

Codex saves a record to Busabase; the Omarchy bar counts it and the panel lists what your agents kept today

1. Install the plugin

Run this in a terminal on Omarchy:

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/busabase/omarchy-busabase.git --enable

The Busabase mark appears on the right of your bar. Dimmed means it is not connected yet.

2. Sign in

Click the mark, then Sign in to Busabase. Omarchy's floating terminal opens with busabase-cli login. Choose Busabase Cloud, a self-hosted server, or Busabase on this computer, then approve the short code in your browser if asked.

The panel before signing in: Sign in to Busabase, and Teach my agents Busabase

Already signed in with busabase-cli?

Nothing to do. The widget reads the same ~/.busabase/.env that busabase-cli login writes. If a Busabase server answers on localhost:15419, the panel also offers Use Busabase on this computer.

3. Teach your agents Busabase

Switch on Teach my agents Busabase. It links the bundled Busabase skill into Claude Code, Codex, Pi, and ~/.agents/skills. Restart any agent that is already open so it picks up the skill. Switch it off and the links are removed.

4. Ask an agent to keep something

Ask an agent, for example: "Save this week's competitor notes to Busabase." When the change lands, the count flashes +1 and settles on the new total.

The bar goes 1, +1, 2 as an agent saves a record

Read the panel

The panel: today's count, a change waiting for review, and what your agents kept

  • Each row says what was kept, named after the agent client or the API key it used, for example "Codex added 1 record to Bugs · 5m ago".
  • Press Enter on a row to open it in Busabase, with its full history and revert.
  • An accent dot on the mark appears only when one of your changes waits for review, because the key can only propose changes or the Base asks for review.

To toggle the panel from a key binding, use omarchy-shell busabase toggle.

What it reads, writes, and sends

  • Reads ~/.busabase/.env. The API key is never put on a command line.
  • Network: only GET requests to your Busabase server, every 60 seconds by default, plus one probe of localhost:15419 when you are not connected.
  • Writes ~/.busabase/.env only when you choose Use Busabase on this computer, and skill symlinks only when you switch the skill on. It never overwrites a skill you installed yourself.

Uninstall

Switch Teach my agents Busabase off first, then run:

omarchy plugin remove busabase

Your Busabase data and ~/.busabase/.env are untouched.
