Busabase v0.9.3 Release Notes
Turn agent output into reviewed data, docs, skills, and apps, connect agents securely, and extend workspaces with AirApps and templates.
Released: August 26, 2026
Busabase v0.9.3 is our first comprehensive release note. Busabase is now a workspace where agent output can become structured data, durable documents, reusable skills, and runnable apps, with review and permissions between a proposal and your system of record.
✨ One Workspace for Agent Work
- Data, docs, skills, and apps in one place: Organize work with Folders, Bases, Docs, Drive, Skills, Whiteboards, Workflows, HTML, and AirApps instead of scattering agent output across disconnected tools.
- Flexible, reusable records: Build Bases with typed fields, views, relations, and structured records that people, agents, and downstream apps can read again.
- Search across the whole workspace: Find content across every node type, inspect files with richer previews, and use the Assets library to see where uploaded media is used.
✅ Review Before It Becomes Truth
- Change Requests for important writes: People and agents can propose creates, edits, renames, moves, and deletes for review before they change canonical workspace data.
- A review surface that explains the change: Preview the proposed result, inspect field-level differences and history, leave feedback, then approve, reject, or merge with context.
- Review at working scale: Bulk record updates remain reviewable, while the faster paginated Inbox keeps counts stable and avoids false empty states as the queue grows.
🤖 Connect Agents Without Guesswork
- MCP, REST, CLI, and OAuth: Connect external agents through the interface that fits their environment, with a connection directory and setup guides for Cloud and local workflows.
- Explicit workspace targeting: Agents can discover the workspaces you belong to and must target the one you choose instead of silently writing to a default workspace.
- An agent-friendly command line: The CLI adds structured output, pagination, retries, clearer errors, and task-oriented commands so agents can recover and continue instead of stalling on ambiguous failures.
🧩 Turn Workspaces Into Apps
- AirApps run inside Busabase: Build workspace apps with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, run them locally or in a remote sandbox, inspect files and logs, and stop individual run sessions when needed.
- Install complete apps from the Template Center: A template can create its tables, fields, sample data, interface, and agent manual together. Install it through the UI, CLI, or an agent-led workflow.
- Instructions travel with the app: Installed apps can include a manual that connected agents read before touching data, so the workflow remains understandable after installation.
🔐 Share and Collaborate with Control
- Permissions follow the resource: Give members scoped access to individual nodes, review access requests, and keep unauthorized workspace content out of navigation and API responses.
- Safer sharing and embedding: Share public nodes with password protection, create short-lived embed links, and invite new members through an approval-aware join flow.
- Activity stays inspectable: Node activity, Change Request history, and unified Settings make it easier to understand who changed what and manage names, descriptions, icons, and permissions from one place.
🔧 Everyday Improvements
- A more direct sidebar: Drag to reorder or move nodes, open Settings without hunting behind Rename, and distinguish files and demo resources with clearer icons.
- Documentation that works with AI tools: Copy any help page as Markdown, open its source directly, or hand the current page to ChatGPT from the page actions.
- More reliable Cloud workflows: Faster Change Request queries, scoped agent lists, safer AirApp startup, and stronger permission checks reduce stalls and prevent work from appearing in the wrong place.
