Install from the Dify Marketplace
Install the plugin once, add an API key, and every app in your Dify workspace can use the tools.
Install the plugin
Open Busabase on the Dify Marketplace and install it into your Dify workspace.
Create an API key
Create a key in Busabase. Write access merges changes right away; Change Request access sends every write to review.
Authorize
In Dify, open Tools → Busabase → Authorize. Enter the Base URL (https://busabase.com for Cloud) and the API key.
Add the tools
Add the tools you need to a workflow, chatflow, or Agent. Dify checks the credentials by listing your Bases.
19 tools for your Dify apps
Read Bases, records, docs, and files, search the whole workspace, and follow the playbooks your team wrote. Add only the tools each app needs.
Records: List Bases, List Records, Find Records by Field Value, Get Record, Create Record, Update Record
Nodes and docs: List Nodes, Search Nodes by Name, Get Node, Read Lines, Create Folder, Create Doc, Update Doc
Files in skills, drives, and AirApps: List Files, Read File, Write File
Playbooks: Search Playbooks, Get Playbook
Search: Search Workspace
Every write is a Change Request
Each change carries a commit message, a diff, and history. It merges right away when the API key has write access, and waits for review when it does not.
Dify writes
Create Record, Update Doc, or Write File sends a Change Request with a commit message.
Busabase checks the key
A key with write access merges it now. A key that can only propose changes queues it for review.
History keeps it
Every version stays in the history, with the message that explains it.
Connect the Busabase you use
The plugin needs two credentials in Dify: the Base URL of your Busabase server and an API key.
Busabase Cloud
Use https://busabase.com as the Base URL. Add a Space ID only if your account has more than one space.
Local open-source server
npx busabase server listens on http://localhost:15419. If Dify runs in Docker, start the server with --host 0.0.0.0 and use http://host.docker.internal:15419.
Self-hosted Busabase
Use your server's URL as the Base URL, with an API key created on that server.
Plugin questions
Does every write need approval?
No. A key with write access merges changes right away. A key that can only propose changes queues them for review in Busabase.
Which Dify apps can use it?
Workflows, chatflows, and Agents. Every tool returns a short text summary plus structured JSON for workflow variables.
What can it not do yet?
Delete, archive, move, or rename, bulk writes, and Base schema changes. Do those in Busabase itself.
Is the plugin open source?
Yes. The source is on GitHub at busabase/dify-plugin-busabase.
